Jamie L. Rutten is a shareholder with Cage | Bucar | Lewis. Jamie has been with CCB since her admission to the Colorado Bar. Jamie attended Colorado State University to obtain her Bachelor of Arts degree in Technical Journalism. Thereafter, Jamie attended the University of North Dakota School of Law to obtain her Juris Doctor. Jamie served as a research assistant and the Research Editor for the North Dakota Law Review during her time at UND.

Upon being licensed to practice law in Colorado, Jamie immediately focused her practice in the area of family law, including divorces and legal separations, allocation of parental responsibility actions, child support modifications, adoptions, paternity actions, and protection orders. Jamie specializes in complex child custody disputes and family law appeals, including appellate brief writing and oral argument before the Colorado Court of Appeals.

Jamie has represented individuals with a wide range of legal issues throughout the State of Colorado. Jamie takes pride in ensuring that her clients are highly informed and involved in their case through every step. While Jamie approaches her practice with an eye towards reaching amicable resolution, Jamie has extensive litigation experience, allowing her the ability to achieve favorable results for her clients regardless of the circumstances.

Jamie is motivated to continue to improve the practice of family law. Currently, she sits on the Executive Council of the Colorado Bar Association Family Law Section (CBA FLS), Metro Volunteer Lawyers (MVL) board, and was most recently appointed to the Bench Bar Committee for Adams/Broomfield Bar Association (ABBA) by 17th Judicial District Chief Judge Patrick Murphy. Jamie served as the President of the Adams/Broomfield Bar Association from 2014-15, and volunteers for various organizations that are dedicated to the practice of family law. Since 2013, she has also been recognized by her peers in Colorado Super Lawyers, as a Rising Star as a Family Law attorney.
